The Beer and Wine Survey is a part of the license application package and is performed by a Licensed Land Surveyor. The survey shows the location of the property and the building of the establishment where alcoholic beverages are sold.

Beer and Wine Surveys are part of the application package. The licensing authority uses liquor license surveys (Atlanta) to determine if the sale of alcoholic beverages at the applicant's proposed place of business meet the distance requirements. The beer and wine survey provides the applicant with the information for understanding if certain locations meet the distance requirements.
The Code of Ordinances for each county and municipality outline the distance requirements for the business from churches, schools, alcohol treatment centers, residences, libraries, and public parks. The Code of Ordinance also details the method of measures the distance.
Two general methods are usually specified. The first is a straight line distance from the business to the church, or school.
The second method is measured on the ground for the most direct line of travel.

Alcohol Certified Survey:
Contact a certified surveyor to perform an Alcohol Certified Survey or Distance Survey. These surveys help determine whether or not your location meets the distance requirements to comply with the State of Georgia Code which specifies the distance from a school, church or government building, etc. A certified survey of the proposed premises depicting the distance requirements as specified on the alcoholic beverage application. The survey must also state how the property was measured (from what point of the premises to what point of the measured location and the direction of measurement)."
